If you have been paying attention to the world of search engines lately, you have probably heard of Microsoft Bing, the latest attempt by Microsoft to get back in the game against Google. Bing is essentially the new version of Microsoft Live (though re-branded). Having used it for a while, I have to admit it is pretty interesting. I wouldn’t call my experience with it life changing, but it’s a good search engine to play with. I know a lot of my colleagues are absolutely in love with Bing. So Microsoft should be happy with its progress so far.

But you know what’s better than Bing? Twitter meets Twitter Trends meets Bing. That’s exactly what you get with Bing Tweets. It’s a cool Bing mash-up that lets you find out what’s important on Twitter and search for those trending Twitter topics on Bing all using one interface.

BingTweets not only lets you get your research done on the latest trends on Twitter, but it shows you what people are tweeting about your specific keyword. So essentially, you can find out what’s popular on Twitter on any given minute, what people, place and products people are talking about on Twitter, and what’s already on the web about those topics. You can even share your findings easily using BingTweets interface.

I am a fan of Bing. I don’t believe it’s going to be a Google killer, but it’s still a nice service to play with. But BingTweets is much better and can actually save you some time with your research. Am I the only one who thinks BingTweets should have been the original Bing interface?
