Yaro is one of the true superstars in the blogging world. Anyone who has blogged for a while has probably heard from the man named Yaro. Even his name is one that you would expect to hear in a Hollywood super hero movie. But in reality, Yaro is dedicated in bringing his knowledge to folks who are motivated and dedicated to making themselves a better blogger. Yaro’s blogging mastermind is still one of the best blogging courses anywhere. Yaro’s new project involves teaching folks how to start and run a blog towards stardom. Let’s see how it stacks up.

Audience: Become a blogger is obviously designed for folks who are getting started with blogging. Whether you are looking for a web host or looking for ideas how to start a vlog, this course has something for you. In essence, you are going to learn:

  • The ins and out of WordPress, including how to setup your own WordPress blog on your very own hosting account.
  • How to get the branding right for your blog by getting the right domain.
  • How to choose the right theme for your blog.
  • How to upload files and images to your blog.
  • How to set up your RSS feed and link it with Feedburner.

In essence, if you are a blogging newbie, you are going to learn exactly how to do things from scratch.

Advanced Topics: even if you are a more advanced blogger, you can still learn things from Become a Blogger training course. Here is what you can expect to learn:

  • Search Engine Optimization: you are going to learn how to optimize your blog for search engines. Many folks are obsessed with driving traffic to their blogs, and SEO is one of the best way to do so. You are going to learn how to create a sitemap for your blog. In addition, these guys teach you how to optimize your title tags, and how to add to your subscribers.
  • Social Media Optimization: Become a Blogger shows you how to optimize your blog for the social media, which is a must these days. You are also going to learn how to create a community that keeps people coming back for more.
  • Digital Media Optimization: Yaro covers audio, video, and image blogging comprehensively. You are going to learn how to use different media types to bring life to your blog. Yaro also covers audio and video casting.

Wild card: this was my favorite part. Yaro and the co. get down and dirty with advanced traffic building techniques. Yaro talks about different methods such as PPC, article marketing, and … that you can use to drive traffic to your blog. Yaro also goes into how to use social media sites to get in the first page of Google. Finally, he discusses advanced money making techniques for blogs.

My take: I personally didn’t like the first half too much. I thought it was for the beginners, and there was no need for me to go through it. The 2nd half got very interesting indeed. I loved the video blogging section a lot as well as the social media site. The money making techniques were OK, but I knew most of them already, so I may be biased. But overall, the wild card section was definitely worth the price of the entire set. I believe if you are new to blogging or just getting a hang of it, you should definitely try Become a Blogger. Yaro is known for taking very good care of his students, and the course is more affordable than blogging mastermind. I would give it an A- for content and an A for presentation.
