Linkedin is one of the most underrated social networking websites around. It may not be as informal as Twitter or Facebook, but it has the potential to bring you lots of traffic (especially if you spend time networking and connecting with others on that site). Many bloggers take time to add Facebook and Twitter share buttons to their blog posts. But not too many are using Linkedin share buttons. While Linkedin may not be right for your niche, it never hurts to test it out.

Linkedin Share Button is a very handy WordPress plugin that adds a Linkedin button to your website and gives your visitors an easy way to share your content with their network on Linkedin. This plugin does not require you to know any coding, so almost anyone can deploy this on blogs.

Linkshare Share Button has plenty of options that you can pick and choose to get the most out of it. You can choose to display the button on your posts, pages, and even your search results. Three button styles are included, and the position of your button can be modified too. The downside? You’ll have to have a WordPress blog to run this plugin.

Those of you who don’t have a WordPress blog can always do it the hard way. Just grab one of these buttons and use the right link to send your stories to LinkedIn:

Will LinkedIn bring you a ton of traffic? It depends on your niche and how much time you spend connecting with and engaging others on that site. But there is no reason not to test this button out on your blog.
