Design Your Online Personality With urFooz

111

If you have been following the evolution of the social media, you know that there are just too many social media sites to be involved in, and it is tough to keep track of things. What that means companies which succeed in providing the social media junkies with a portable ID have a future in this business. urFooz is a cool Web 2.0 company which was launched in September 2008 to enable the social media nation to create and share their portable IDs with others on the web. urFooz is a great way to build a portable online profile for yourself and have some fun in the process (see mine here).

UrFooz is very easy to use. You’ve got to use the Fooz creator to create your own online likeness. Make sure you dress your image properly if you intend to post it to friends and colleagues. You can change almost anything about your likeness and choose from variety of add-ons available to enhance your portable online profile.

Once you have designed your image, you get to enter your online information. I recommend you add your top sites as well as your Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube  information. You are not just limited to those sites, but it’s a start.

At the end of the day, you should enter as many sites as you can. Your goal is to allow others to contact you on these sites, so why not share your information with them. Once you are done with your information, you can e-mail your complete profile to your friends. You can also use the widget available on urFooz to post your profile to Facebook, myspace, and other Web 2.0 sites. You can even download your profile to your Yahoo! Desktop Widget. urFooz may look too fun, but it’s a great way to share your information with your friends and have fun in the process. The service is free, so why not use it? Just don’t spend too much time on it as it can get addictive!

Your profile: please share your urFooz artwork here.

    Great find!
  • Hey Lisa,

I don't possibly look like the guy with a tennis racket. The first avatar was the closest I came. I didn't work too much on the details and my hair style wasn't quite in there, but I was OK with the first one. I am a blogger not a rock artist (the 2nd avatar looks like one). :)

I do agree with you that it's fun and a great way to share your avatar info. Please share your link if it's OK :) Mine is obviously here: http://budurl.com/ztqk

This is awesome. Does your avatar look like you? Have you tried the Fooz Mall? It's interesting how your two avatars above look so uniquely different.

I just created my account. It's fun to create different profiles and avatars of you depending on what social community you share your Fooz Card with. These days even employers look to your facebook and myspace page to get to know more about you before hiring you. urFooz seems like a great way for people to control what they share, to who, and how. We'll see how it takes off.
