If you are blogger, you love traffic. The more traffic you get to your site, the better chance you have of making it as a full-time blogger. Besides, it’s always nice to get recognition for your work. That wouldn’t be possible if only 2 people are visiting your website per week. One of the best ways to take your blog to the next level and drive more traffic to it is by optimizing it for the search engines. Climbing up the rankings may not be easy (especially if you are in a hyper-competitive market). At the same time, if you take your time to optimize each and every post on your blog for the search engines, you’d be surprised how much traffic you can drive to your site for free.

Not a lot of bloggers spend enough time learning the art and science of SEO. Some only think about outsourcing the process. I can tell you from experience that knowing some SEO can always help when you are writing your posts or planning for ways to add more content to your blog. There are plenty of SEO books that teach you the basics of search engine optimization. But if you want to go beyond the basics and get a firm understanding of search engine optimization, here are 3 SEO training resources you should look at:

SEOBook: the best search engine training program on the web. It goes deep into topics not covered by other books or courses on the market. These guys have been at it for years, and the content keeps getting better. Read more »

Blogging To The Bank 3.0: Review

Author: Panah | Tags: , ,

A few months ago, I had a chance to review Blogging to the Bank 2.0, and I was very impressed by it. Most experts who reviewed that product agreed with me that it was a decent product that showed newbie bloggers how to get the most out of their blogs. The course has now been updated to account for the latest developments in the Internet industry. Blogging To the Bank 3.0 still aims to teach bloggers how to take their blogs to the next level, but the techniques have been updated to give you the best possible chance to succeed online as a full-time blogger. If you are a beginner and want to get started with blogging fast, Blogging To the Bank is a serious training course to consider.

Here is what you get with Blogging To The Bank:

  • Content: I found the content to be very useful to beginner and intermediate bloggers. If you have never owned a blog or you have an under-performing blog, you are gonig to learn how to push your blog to the next level and monetize it properly. I also was impressed with the fact that you learn how to treat your blog as a business. Unfortunately, too many of us treat our blogs as a hobby. If that is you, then you should rethink your strategy. You can’t expect to make a full-time living with a hobby unless you treat it all as a business. This course teaches you how to install your blog, keep them up to date at all times, and make decisions like a true CEO.
  • Tips: the tips in this course are great for beginners who are just getting started with blogging. You’ll learn what kind of hosting you need to create a killer blog. You also learn all about services available to you on the market. If you are stuck and don’t know what to blog about, this course will teach you how to research niches and find goldmines in them. You’ll learn how to do keyword research properly and get ranked for more keywords. One thing that I like about this course is that it doesn’t try to sugarcoat the realities of the blogging business. If you want to make a decent living off of your blog, you need advertising, affiliate marketing, and some sort of sponsorship. If you are blessed with a rich wife or an even richer dad, you may not need all that, but if you are a mere mortal like the rest of us, you need to make money to keep your blog going. I have always said that there is no shame in getting paid for your blogging efforts. If you run out of money, your blog dies, and I am sure many readers understand where you are coming from. The key is to be honest and go about making money the right away, and this course touches on these issues.
  • Promotion: driving traffic to a blog is a necessity if you want to have any chance of making a living off of your blog. But not everyone knows how to properly drive traffic to a blog. You’ve got paid search. You’ve got SEO, and then you’ve got Web 2.0. There are literally thousands of ways you can drive traffic to your blog. I like the fact that this course focuses on the most important ones. Finally, I was impressed with the coverage of outsourcing.

The Bad

I have worked in the online marketing industry. I know what it takes to write a landing page to increase sales. But I just hate pages that come with too many paychecks all over them. Everybody does that these days, and they simply don’t mean anything. I have no doubt the author is making a lot of money, but I rather see less sale copy and more useful information. How about a sample video? I also believe that not everyone can get this blogging right. You’ve got to have patience and dedication to work hard. You can buy this course and read it from cover to back, but if you are not ready to work hard, it’s all a waste.

The Verdict: B+

Whether you are a newbie or have been in this business for a while, you can learn something from Blogging To The Bank 3.0. You learn how to create blogs, develop your lists, promote your sites, outsource tasks, and sell your blogs. This shouldn’t be the only blogging material that you read, but it is a very good start. And best of all, you won’t have to do research on all these topics as the author has done it for you already. Once you graduate from this course, and if you are willing to work hard, you’ll be ready to take your blog to the next level and have much more success with it.

Why You Should Take Time To Learn Wordpress

Wordpress 2.7 is finally out, and I can’t be happier about it. If you are a pro blogger, chances are that you are using Wordpress as the content management system to manage your blog. Wordpress is a very powerful content management system, and it comes with lots of features designed to help bloggers become more efficient and productive. But are you getting the most out of Wordpress?

My gut tells me that the majority of bloggers don’t know how to get the best out of Wordpress. The fact that you are getting the system for free could partially justify that fact. After all, if you are not paying for it, then you don’t have to know everything about the system. Well, you should definitely try to learn as much as you can about Wordpress. It took me about 24 hours to finish a book on Wordpress, a few years ago, and I don’t see anyone being stuck with with a Wordpress book for more than a week.

Learning how to set up and update your Wordpress blog is the first thing to consider. I know a lot of folks who actually pay the geek nation to set up and upgrade their WP systems. That is just a waste of money. The WP system is not too difficult to upgrade as long as you have the ability to follow the instructions provided by the good folks at Wordpress. Once you have set up your Wordpress blog, you are going to have to do some research and find a set of plug-ins that give you the best chance to optimize your blog for SEO. Plug-ins such as SEO Title Tags allow you to optimize your title tags for search engines. There are thousands of similar plug-ins that you can use to put yourself in a position to get free traffic from the search engines.

I believe what most folks struggle with is the process they need to go through to add audio, video, and images. As someone who has taught a lot of non-technical folks how to get started with Wordpress, I can tell you that folks just find audio, video, and images scary. There is just something about them that shuts their brains down. In reality, adding audio and video to your blog is not really that difficult. There are thousands of software packages that you can use to get your audio and video up on your blog. But if you don’t spend time to learn these things, you are going to be stuck with a text blog for life.

At the end of the day, you should consider Google your best friend. You can find almost anything on these search engines, and as long as you have the drive and capacity to learn, you are going to be fine. Some folks need someone to take their hand, and that is perfectly fine. You can use blog training packages by guys such as Yaro. Either way, this is a process that you will have to go through to get the best out of Wordpress.

Are you getting the most out of your WP CMS?

Product Review: Blogging To The Bank 2.0

Author: Panah | Tags:

Blog monetization is one of the hottest topics out there today. So there is no surprise that there are many products out there that claim to be the holy grail to million dollar blogging. The thing about most digital products is that they provide little or no value to most people. You read all these colorful salesletters that talk about how you can do this and that, but at the end of the day, the product does not live up to your expectations. So I decided to take a look around and find out whether the most popular make-money-with-your-blog product is any good.

Blogging To The Bank 3.0 Review:

Blogging to the bank has been around for a while now. It is simply one of the most popular blogging products on the Internet. The creator of this product claims to be making $35K a month from his blogging efforts, which is decent enough money for most of us. There are really to aspects to this product:

  1. How To Master the art of blogging
  2. How To Drive Traffic To your Blog

For the first part, you learn how to set up a blog, find a good web host, and choose the right platform for your blog. A lot of this you can find on the internet for free, but I did like the blogging blue-print a lot as it helps you have a plan and stick to it. The keyword research plan was also valuable in my opinion (if you are a newbie), but I think most advanced bloggers know how to do keyword research through tools such as WordTracker.

The traffic section of this course was interesting as the author went over Web 2.0 techniques that you can use to drive traffic to your blog. Now, I do like to mention these services in public, but I think the product owner would be extremely mad if I spilled his secrets. Having said that, there are Web 2.0 sites out there that are authority sites and can help you get ranked for keywords much more quickly.

But I think the single powerful concept in this course that makes it worthwhile is the outsourcing blueprint that is offered with this course. Sure the couple of bonuses are interesting and the free articles that you get with your purchase are useful too, but at the end of the day, one man can’t expect to make a million by himself these days. There is just so much work to do and so little time. In fact, the one major deciding difference between those who make hundreds from their blogs and those who make tens of thousands is outsourcing. If you hire 5 people who manage your blogs for you on a daily basis, you can reach heights that is simply not possible if you are on your own.

I think Blogging to the bank is a very good course for those who are new to blogging and want to monetize their blogs. I bet you have heard of at least 50% of tactics that are offered in this course. Having said that, there are a few sneaky tactics here and there that can give you an edge over fellow bloggers. I did like the bonuses too (the slides, the free articles, the blog announcer, and article analyzer software). I personally do not like to recommend a product as a must have as it all depends on where you are in your blogging journey. Having said that, I do strongly recommend you check out Blogging To The Bank 3.0 and see if it interests you. What I can tell you is it was worth the money unlike 90% off digital products that you find on the Internet.

Why You Should Start Your List Follow-Up…

Author: Panah | Tags:

I had a post a few days ago about how you should start your list building process right now in order to create an asset for your business that gives you not only financial security but also business security. Remember, you can ALWAYS duplicate the site, no matter how cool it looks or how technologically advanced it is, but the list you can’t just duplicate. List building takes time and effort, and you actually have to work on your relationship building skills while improving your lists.

Now, I got a few question about how I got started with list building. To tell you the truth, my background was and still is technical. I am a geek who ventured into the marketing world and liked what I saw. I used training materials from around the net to learn things step by step. One solution that really helped me was the List FX (no aff link here). It is not super classic or anything but the course has a bunch of audio lessons that can help you get started. You should definitely check it out. What I learned about product creation and list building was priceless. What I usually recommend to friends and those who ask for my opinion is that you always need to find the right balance between the amount of time you spend training and actually acting on your training. Don’t be a boxer who trains for 18 hours a day but never actually fights a real fight.

Blog Training From Blog MasterMind

Author: Panah | Tags:
Filed under: Blog Training | View CommentsComments

The popular Blog Mastermind training program is up and Yaro is at it again to help beginner to intermediate bloggers earns as low as $5000 a month from blogging. Yaro’s program is highly on demand and is only offered to a limited number of people. But it is an excellent program that teaches you how to:

  • Start blogging from scratch
  • Form a Pro Blogger mindset where it’s not all about Adsense but about ways to make decent money by blogging the right way
  • Learn how to be a part-time blogger and make a full time salary
  • Find tools to help you blog easier and in a more productive way
  • How to build your business, and buy and sell hot e-real estate properties.

You also get a bunch of videos, interviews, and also teleconference opportunities with fellow students. So this is not really for someone who is trying to wing it and watch a video to become a blogger. There is a lot of interaction going on in this program. What that means is you are going to have to start blogging seriously to get constructive feedback from the community there.

But if that’s not enough, the price will definitely make you either commit to or leave the program. You are going to have to pay either a one time payment of $497 or $97 per month for 6 months (lifetime updates). It’s a significant investment if you are not serious about blogging. However, if you plan to make it in the blogging world then this is just a change in compare to the amount that you will be making as a successful blogger.

Should you get this course? I highly recommend this course to those of you who are interested in blogging professionally. There are many of us who like to get started but just have no idea where to start. Yaro is a successful 6 figure blogger, and he has done his research, so you do save some time by applying his program. In the end, it depends on how serious you are about blogging. Note that you can try the program for the first month and return it if you don’t like it. With the 6 month plan, you can also cancel anytime (one more reason to get the 6 months plan instead of the one time one).

This is a limited time offer, and it will sell out very soon (as soon as the space is filled). It will be going on for 6 months. If you are interested, don’t forget to check it out before it runs out. There are plenty of videos and content available on the site to help you make up your mind. My advice here is, look past the sales material and see if you can really fit what Yaro is talking about in your daily life. After all, blogging is a way of life.
