What is Post Later?

You may have heard about TweetLater already. It’s a service that allows you to schedule your Tweets in advance. A lot of people believe that when you blog or tweet, you have to do it right then. The truth is that most bloggers schedule their posts using features that come with Web packages such as WordPress. It is also true that some platforms do not support that functionality.

This is where Post Later comes in. Post later will act as your cenral blogging point where you can post or schedule post for future regardless of the platform that you are using. The following platforms are supported right now:

  • Blogger
  • Drupal
  • WordPress
  • Joomla
  • Tumblr
  • Typepad
  • LiveJournal
  • Movable Type
  • Angel Fire
  • B2 Evolution
  • FriendFeed
  • Others (such as Plone, Community Server, Live Spaces, Blogware, and Express Engine)

I believe the service is useful and will be in demand. Having said that, I have personally moved on from Blogger (I used it since it started) to WordPress & Pligg, and I don’t believe I’ll be moving to another platform anytime soon. And my Pligg sites don’t seem to be supported by this feature yet. Having said that, it’s good to have the option, and it’s not that expensive ($29.95 a month). You can try it out here.
