There are many reviews of management solutions out there, but Disqus is a great quality to consider if you own a WordPress blog and are tired of jumping through hoops to moderate your comments and build your own community.

Disqus keeps you in control at all times. You are just using a third party system to add more functionality to your comment section.

If moderating comments by default in WordPress (self hosted), after comments are approved in WordPress will they be automatically approved in Disqus?
Likewise, if I mark items as spam in WordPress, will they be blocked in Disqus based upon my choice in WordPress?
