Why You Should Go For It When Blogging!

Have you heard of the saying that “I wasn’t aggressive enough” or “I was passive.” Sportsmen use it all the time when they lose. On the other hand, when they win they claim to have been more aggressive. So what does this all have to do with blogging? Simple. Aggressive bloggers are more likely to succeed than the passive ones. Think about the top blogs in the world. Blogs such as ProBlogger, SEOBook, or even Engadget. They all often go to places that others don’t dare to go. That’s what sets top bloggers apart from the struggling ones.
Aggressiveness Pays
Being aggressive makes you explore areas that others haven’t. Think about it. If you start blogging about a topic that everyone is blogging about, how are you going to differentiate yourself? Why should people spend their time (which is the ultimate currency) to read your blog or even listen to you? If you are aggressive and go places that others don’t dare or think to go, then you can make it even in saturated red oceans. After all there are two ways to explore blue oceans. One is by going outside the box. The other, going outside the box inside the box (I know this may all sound funny but there is actually science behind it!).
Passiveness Almost Certainly Doom You
By being passive, you fail to take advantage of opportunities that come by in your market. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t push the boundaries and challenge yourself to go places others have not been before, then how are you going to compete with the top guys and beat them at their own game? Remember, it’s not all about what you do. You need to think about what others do in your market as well. If you are passive, you give inches to your competitors and potentially leave yourself open to strategic assaults.
Make It Fun
Being an aggressive blogger most certainly allows you to have more fun blogging. It is very rewarding when you push yourself and become a unique authority in your market. If you are pretty much rehashing what everyone else is saying in your market, you are doomed. As simple as that. Besides, you’ll be bored to death if you keep tackling the same top areas whereas by being aggressive you constantly come up with new angles and areas to tackle, which makes blogging more fun.
So stay aggressive and push the boundaries if you have to. What have you got to lose?
