While I don't criticize other bloggers, I do hold myself to the highest standards of my third-grade education.

Eye before ee, except after cee. And all that good stuff. I don't always catch my misteaks, but I do try to get them all. As for outsourcing, That would be Microsoft® Word and an occasional correction by Firefox and my handy-dandy PhraseExpress utility.

The grammar and spelling is important, but I don't think it's everything. I am personally a big picture guy. I have never been good with details. When I write a post, I am not looking to wow my readers with my grammar skills. Some of us are gifted in that area as well. I do think people pay more attention than they should to misspellings on other blogs. I personally read my blog posts twice and use spell checker, but typos just find a way in.

If it comes down to content vs. spelling, I take good content any day regardless of how many typos you have

My firefox spell checker will correct most of the mistakes. I don't spend any extra time in learning or fixing them.

But i agree with you that grammar and spellings are very important online.
