I had a post a few days ago about how you should start your list building process right now in order to create an asset for your business that gives you not only financial security but also business security. Remember, you can ALWAYS duplicate the site, no matter how cool it looks or how technologically advanced it is, but the list you can’t just duplicate. List building takes time and effort, and you actually have to work on your relationship building skills while improving your lists.

Now, I got a few question about how I got started with list building. To tell you the truth, my background was and still is technical. I am a geek who ventured into the marketing world and liked what I saw. I used training materials from around the net to learn things step by step. You should definitely check it out. What I learned about product creation and list building was priceless. What I usually recommend to friends and those who ask for my opinion is that you always need to find the right balance between the amount of time you spend training and actually acting on your training. Don’t be a boxer who trains for 18 hours a day but never actually fights a real fight.
